Grand Rapids is the quintessential Midwest city in the U.S, boasting four distinct seasons and warm, friendly locals. Formerly the “Furniture City” because of its beginnings in manufacturing, Grand Rapids is now “Beer City” for its micro-breweries where you can meet up with friends for a drink and a meal. Not too big or small, Grand Rapids has it all while still being accessible on foot, by bus or with one of the bikes and scooters available for rent around town. After exploring the city or one of the 75+ parks, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants serving American fare or dishes from around the world. Adults and kids alike will love the museums and the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Statue Park. Come in late September and see artwork displayed throughout the city for Art Prize. No matter when you come, Grand Rapidians will welcome you with open arms!

Grand Rapids is easily explored by foot, bus or with one of the bikes or scooters available for rent around the city. It's less than an hour from Lake Michigan and only 3 hours from Chicago.
