the experience
spanish beyond the classroom
From time at El Puente Bilingual to afternoons with local families, students have opportunities to hear, use, and experience Spanish in authentic settings—connecting the language they are learning with real people, relationships, and everyday life.
real costa rican connection
This trip goes beyond sightseeing. Families will spend time at Isa’s Ranch, connect with local families through Grupo Quepos, learn about rural Costa Rican life, and experience the destination through the people who call it home.
adventure with purpose
Ziplining, waterfall hikes, jungle nights, wildlife, markets, and a private catamaran cruise bring plenty of adventure—balanced with experiences designed to deepen cultural understanding and create meaningful memories.
experience it together
Because this trip is built for your school community, students and parents get to experience it side by side. Kids deepen friendships, parents build community, and families return home with shared experiences that continue long after the trip ends.

Quepos is such a beautiful and friendly destination and Travec allows you to go deeper into an immersive travel experience far beyond a typical vacation. Because we were in a group, our children borrowed courage from the other kids and took off speaking Spanish with the locals.
Following our cooking lesson with Chef Eli, my ten-year-old said, "Speaking Spanish to someone who doesn't speak English gave me purpose and made me want to speak the best I could." I'm not sure how we'll ever top this travel experience!

Frequently asked questions
kind words

"Connecting with other travelers and Costa Ricans was the best part of the trip—this is what makes traveling with Travec so special. The second best part was having incredible, curated activities already planned for us. We didn’t have to figure out how to spend our time, yet we still had plenty of space to relax, connect, and do our own thing with the people we met along the way."
"My kids loved the ATV ride, the beach after the Manuel Antonio nature preserve hike, surfing and swimming at the pool"
"After traveling with Travec, we cannot travel any other way. This was truly an immersive experience."
