built in friends, room to explore
Travel with families who share your curiosity, with local support and thoughtful plans to help you settle in. Shared adventures bring everyone together, while free time gives your family room to follow its own interests.

I loved our trip. My girls had a blast, my husband and I had so much fun actually being able to talk and hangout with other adults while our kids played, and the whole itinerary was perfect. I loved the cultural immersion side of it, meeting the local friends and hanging out with them, my girls going to school in Peru AND LOVING IT!!! and of course seeing Machu Picchu, the sacred valley etc. Peru is a fantastic destination, and one that can easily become overwhelming, especially with little kids. I felt the way TRAVEC planned it made it so easy for us to enjoy. I can honestly say I would've struggled to and through putting this trip together myself and it would've NOT been as enjoyable, educational and well planned out.

the people who make it personal
One of the biggest differences between a Travec trip and planning on your own is the people you have with you along the way. Your Trip Leader and City Host are there to help the week feel seamless, connected, and personal—from handling the little logistics to introducing you to the people, places, and everyday moments that make Valencia feel like more than a destination.
They’re your local guides, trusted resources, cultural connectors, and familiar faces throughout the week. By the end of the trip, they often feel less like “trip staff” and more like part of the experience itself.

Trip Leader
Jenny M
Jenny is a seasoned Travec Trip Leader and the Spanish Immersion Education Support Services Coordinator at Grand Rapids Christian Schools. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she loves exploring new places—especially now that her three daughters are old enough to join her and her husband, DJ, on their adventures. Jenny brings positive energy, resourceful problem-solving, and a natural instinct for supporting others, helping travelers feel comfortable, connected, and ready to explore.

City Hosts
Belina R
Belina is a seasoned Travec City Host who also works with the local nonprofit VivePeru. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she brings kindness, resourcefulness, and a deep knowledge of Peru to every trip. She loves sharing her country’s ancient history and everyday culture, and our families—especially the kids—quickly fall in love with her. Her impact goes well beyond keeping things running smoothly: some travelers have even suggested she deserves a statue. Spend a week with her, and you’ll understand why.
